Step 1: Unbox & Inspect
Unboxing
Carefully unbox your Trezor device, ensuring the packaging and holographic seal are intact. Do not proceed if tampering is suspected. Verify the authenticity and protect your recovery seed.
Connect to Computer
Use the supplied USB cable to connect your Trezor to your computer (Windows, macOS, or Linux). The device powers on automatically. Visit trezor.io/start for complete instructions.
Step 2: Install Trezor Suite
Download & Install
Download the official Trezor Suite application compatible with your OS from trezor.io/software. Install following on-screen prompts.
Connect & Authorize
Launch Trezor Suite. Connect your device and authorize the connection on your Trezor screen by confirming "Trust." Follow prompts for firmware update if required.
Step 3: Generate or Recover Wallet
Create New Wallet
Follow the on-screen instructions to generate a new seed. Write down the 12/24 words carefully and store securely offline. Never share your seed or store it digitally.
Restore Wallet
If recovering, enter your seed phrase when prompted. Verify seed words on your Trezor device screen for accuracy before proceeding.
Step 4: Set Security Features
Configure PIN
Create a PIN for device access. Confirm the PIN by following instructions on your Trezor device screen.
Optional Passphrase
Activate an extra passphrase for higher security and privacy. Remember that this adds a second layer of protection for your hidden wallet.
Step 5: Add Cryptocurrency Accounts
Add Accounts
In Trezor Suite, select "Add account", choose your crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.), and wait for synchronization. Public addresses are displayed, ready for use.
Step 6: Send & Receive Funds
Receive
Generate a receive address in Trezor Suite. Verify the address on your device before sharing or scanning QR codes.
Send
Input recipient address, amount, and fee. Confirm details on your device's screen before sending.
